Role Description: The Nurse Practitioner role at Empow Her Health is self driven, flexible schedule as an independent contractor on-site, at times remote if needed, position based in Jacksonville, OR. The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, including conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and scope of practice. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive care visits, managing chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and delivering patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention. The role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, documenting care in the electronic health record, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The Nurse Practitioner will also contribute to a positive, inclusive clinic culture by supporting patient advocacy and engaging in clear, compassionate communication.
Qualifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Oregon and national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGNP, or equivalent).Demonstrated clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning skills, including experience managing both acute and chronic conditions. Strong patient communication and education skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and support shared decision-making. Experience working in outpatient or primary care settings; women’s health, family medicine, or holistic care experience is highly beneficial. Proficiency with electronic health records and basic healthcare technology, with attention to accurate documentation and privacy standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, showing professionalism, reliability, and respect for diverse backgrounds. Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Master’s or Doctorate) and current BLS/ACLS certification. Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
