Role Description: The Landscaping Operations Manager is a full-time, role based in Wake Forest, NC, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees daily field operations, including scheduling crews, assigning jobs, overseeing one shop location, managing projects, and ensuring work is completed to quality and safety standards. The manager coordinates materials and equipment, communicates with clients about project timelines and expectations, and resolves onsite issues promptly. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising team performance, conducting site inspections, updating job documentation, and collaborating with leadership on process improvements, budgeting, and resource planning. The role also involves training staff, reinforcing safety protocols, and supporting a positive, efficient work culture.
Qualifications: Former or current landscaping business owner preferred. We will buy out your existing route if you have one.) 3+ years experience in landscape operations, including crew supervision, scheduling, and onsite project management. Knowledge of landscape maintenance and installation practices, materials, equipment, and safety standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to manage projects to be completed on time and profitably. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, team members, and vendors. Strong proficiency with CRMs, office and project management software for scheduling, reporting, and documentation. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching team members and promoting a safe, respectful work environment. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to job sites in and around Wake Forest, NC.Prior experience in landscaping, construction, or related fields; supervisory experience is strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in landscaping or horticulture are a plus. Spanish proficiency is nice to have.
