We are searching for a Project Manager who is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of large-scale construction projects ($4 million+) involving the installation of PLC, SCADA, and BMS systems. This includes managing finances, scheduling, billing, daily meetings, directing subcontractors, and overseeing engineering and technical deliverables from initiation to completion. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, the Project Manager ensures that every project and personnel interaction upholds our commitment to quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:Manage project finances, scheduling, billing, and daily meetings
Organize and control all project elements from start to finish
Analyze construction project timelines, requirements, and budgets
Collaborate with operations supervisors and engineering/programming teams for proper planningSubcontractor Management:Review competitive bid information and select electrical subcontractors
Create and maintain subcontract documentation
Direct and oversee the work of electrical subcontractors, ensuring proper installation methods and adherence to specificationsEngineering Deliverables Management:Manage the delivery of submittals, graphics packages, technical drawings, and other engineering deliverables
Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of engineering tasksTechnical Deliverables Management:Oversee system/equipment commissioning and technical deliverables
Coordinate between technicians, engineers, and programmers for modifications and correctionsMaterial Procurement:Order project materials by completing requisition documents
Coordinate with panel builders and schedule material delivery
Communicate with customers regarding material storage requirementsProject Billing and Financial Management:Collaborate with the administration team for proper project billing
Coordinate with customers for billing requirements
Review monthly job labor cost reports and initiate corrective actions as neededProject Communication and Coordination:Communicate project information to engineering, programming, technicians, and operations management teams
Attend jobsite meetings and document site visits
Update project deadlines and advise on schedule changes or change ordersProject Closeout and Turnover:Assist technicians with organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling start-up assignments
Accept turnover documentation and prepare project closeout documentation
Transfer as-built data to engineering/programming teams
Complete service turnover documentation and owner trainingQuality Control and Safety:Comply with and enforce project safety requirements
Critique and enforce proper commissioning methods
Verify conformance to project commissioning documentation
Communicate needed corrections in standards to the operations management teamMentoring and Knowledge Sharing:Assist in recruiting and training new project managers
Share technical and installation knowledge with less experienced staffTravel Requirement:Willingness and ability to travel to meet the needs of high-profile customers across multiple regions
Be on-site for at least 2 consecutive weeks, with 3-4 day rotations homeQualifications:
Relevant experience in project management, preferably in the construction or industrial automation industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical installation methods.
Familiarity with contract negotiation and change order processes.
Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
