About the role
Job TitleHF Foods Group, Inc. is a leading distributor of international foodservice solutions to Asian restaurants and other businesses across the United States. Primary Functions: The driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. A reliable driver needs to transport items in a safe, timely manner, in conjunction with the customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading, transporting, delivering and unloading items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- Collecting payments for delivered items as needed
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Any other related duties as assigned by the management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive commercial driving experience with clean driving record
- Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods
- Attention to detail
- Able to use forklift or pallet jack to move the pallets and/or products
- Possess a valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have a visual or visual intellectual acuity of 20/40, with or without corrective visual aids.
- Visual, intellectual acuity of 40/20, regardless of corrective visual aids70 degrees or more vision in each eye
- Being able to hear a forced whisper within 5 feet without any corrective hearing aid
- Passing the compulsory audiometer assessment
- Not having a history of high or low blood pressure. The average rate should be 90/140 Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting, positioning, pushing, pulling, grasping, and/or transferring of items up to 80 pounds
- Repetitive hand use is required
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing, squatting
- Education and/or Training:
- High school or GED equivalent.
- Proven box truck or at least 24 ft-long truck driving experience.
- Work Conditions:
- Office and warehouse environment
- Occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Required wearing of appropriate PPEExposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment
- Frequent computer and telephone use
- Frequent communication with people throughout the day
- Deliver products in inclement weather conditions
