About the role

The New Jersey Department of the Treasury invites highly motivated undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and law students to apply for paid internship opportunities. These internships offer invaluable hands-on training and practical work experience across various divisions within the Department. Interns will engage in meaningful projects and assignments that contribute to the Department’s mission, providing an excellent foundation for future careers in public service and related fields.
Key Responsibilities: Project Support: Assist with a variety of projects and initiatives within your assigned division, gaining exposure to the Department’s operations and priorities. Research and Analysis: Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports to support decision-making processes. Team Collaboration: Work closely with Treasury staff to contribute to the successful completion of departmental goals. Communication: Develop your professional communication skills through interactions with team members, stakeholders, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications: Academic background in relevant fields such as finance, accounting, political science, public administration, or related disciplines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated interest in public service and government operations.
