About the role

Library Aide IThe award-winning Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is currently hiring for a Library Aide I with the Mesquite Library. Under direct supervision, interacts with a wide variety of internal and external customers to support general library operations and assists with lending and collecting library material; sorts and reshelves library materials; registers new customers; issues library cards and assists with customer accounts; answers routine customer questions; teaches customers how to use library resources; participates in library programs; and performs a variety of transactional duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices. Typically reports to management-level Library Operations position. The pay range for this position is $14.56 to $19.51 per hour. Pay typically begins at the minimum of the pay range, and employees are eligible for annual merit and COLA increases per District policy. This is a part-time, 12 hours per week, FLSA non-exempt position. The application deadline for this position is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026.
