Job Description: \n Field Patching Crew Member - Central Region \n Permanent/Full Time, Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday \n To provide concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a crew finishing precast concrete panels. \n Benefits \n \n * Union benefits \n * Safety boot & prescription safety eyewear reimbursement \n * Employee referral bonuses \n * Overtime opportunities \n \n
Salary Range: $27-$41/hour \n Key Responsibilities \n \n * Perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor necessary to finish precast concrete panels. \n * Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a patching crew. \n * Follow work direction provided by the Patching Crew Foreperson. \n * Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson. \n * Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly. \n * Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements. \n * Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel. \n \n Requirements \n \n * Construction experience required; concrete finishing experience preferred. \n * General knowledge of construction practices; two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred. \n * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. \n * Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions. \n * Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms. \n * Ability to obtain membership in a local union. \n * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. \n * Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required. \n * Ability to traverse uneven ground, move materials weighing at least 50 pounds, and climb onto flatbed semi-trailers. \n * Spatial awareness and depth perception necessary to perform field duties safely. \n * Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and around dirt, dust, and noise from heavy machinery and vehicles. \n * Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct. \n \n About Us \n Better.
