Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: Up to $20/hour Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM5:00 PMAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Billing Specialist to support billing operations for a 4PL warehouse environment. This role will focus on reviewing warehouse and fulfillment activity, validating invoices, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring customers are billed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing, accounts receivable/payable, warehouse operations, logistics, or audit and strong attention to both operational and financial details.
What You'll Do:
  • Review and validate invoices related to warehouse and fulfillment services
  • Analyze warehouse activity including: Inbound shipments, Outbound shipments, Storage, Handling, Value-added services
  • Identify and resolve duplicate, missing, or inaccurate charges
  • Partner with warehouse operations, AP/AR, finance, and customers to resolve billing issues
  • Coordinate with transportation partners and internal teams to obtain supporting documentation
  • Ensure billing accurately reflects agreed pricing, service levels, and contractual requirements
  • Track and resolve open billing items to support timely customer invoicing
  • Escalate complex discrepancies and issues when appropriate
  • Develop working knowledge of warehouse management systems and billing platforms
  • Help improve billing workflows and reduce billing cycle times
  • Support process improvements that increase billing accuracy and operational efficiency
What You'll Need:
  • 1+ year of experience in one or more of the following: Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Warehouse Operations, Logistics Coordination, AuditStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with operations, finance, customers, and transportation partners
  • Ability to review data, identify discrepancies, and follow issues through resolution
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in warehouse or fulfillment environments
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with systems such as Logiwa or similar WMS platforms
  • Experience reviewing warehouse activity and fulfillment data
  • Background in 4PL, 3PL, transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
