About the role

At Care First, we believe in delivering quality, convenient, affordable health care and exceeding our patients’ expectations. Our neighborhood medical centers are open every day from 8-8 with a full medical team and no appointments necessary to help patients get in, get healthy, and get back to what’s really important. You can become part of our elite team almost anywhere with 45 Care First centers across Ohio, Kentucky, and Nevada. Care First is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant to join our team. What makes Care First different? We're physician owned and provider operated. The people setting our protocols have worked the front lines of urgent care themselves — so decisions get made by clinicians who know what a full waiting room on a Saturday actually looks like. Urgent care isn't a side line for us. It's the whole business. That means no pressure to refer inside a health system, no system-wide initiatives that don't fit walk-in care, and no corporate priorities that pull focus from the patient in front of you. We use a best-in-class EHR built specifically for acute urgent care — not an inpatient system bent into a walk-in workflow. Urgent care templates, AI-assisted documentation, and autocoding mean you're not hunting for CPT codes or fighting a chart built for someone else's specialty. Discharge instructions go out digitally, and lab results go straight to the patient by secure text, so phone tag is a thing of the past. Our providers will tell you the rest: most charts are done in under 60 seconds, and they're done before you leave. New grads and providers new to urgent care: our full-time, on-site provider lead meets with you personally to make sure you have the skills and resources you need. You'll never be left to figure it out on your own. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
