About the role

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Progressively responsible experience in manufacturing operations, Demonstrated technical/mechanical knowledge, you will need to learn how to operate our furnace (EAF).Experience in process engineering and continuous improvement programs, such as lean manufacturing and 6S is a plus Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop subordinates, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; there will be one supervisor and 30 or so union employees Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of achieving production targets, improving operational efficiency, and driving results. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
