Position Details:
Standard Work Hours: 8.0 hours/day Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Assignment Duration: Temporary Contract (Estimated 2 – 3 months)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temporary 2-to-3-month assignment. This role is responsible for supporting core payroll processing, timecard verification, and ensuring certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance for public works projects.
Core Responsibilities:
Process payroll efficiently and conduct accurate timecard reviews.
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with state and federal standards.
Maintain compliance with prevailing wage guidelines and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) regulations for public works projects.
Utilize specialized payroll and compliance platforms to maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Payroll & Compliance: Experience with certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage requirements, and public works compliance. Technical Skills: Familiarity with compliance software (such as LCPtracker, Elations, or similar platforms) is a plus. Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and reliable time management abilities.
