About the role

Overview In this role you will develop, implement, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and server-side scripting. You will integrate diverse data sources and deliver user-friendly interfaces while upholding coding standards and SDLC practices. You will collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure data integrity and security, mentoring peers and driving continuous improvement. The position combines hands-on development with architecture and quality assurance in a client-focused IT services environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and server-side scripting languages Import, manipulate, and display data from heterogeneous sources (XML, databases, flat files, SOAP, REST)Deliver ergonomic, efficient, and consistent user interfaces Diagnose, troubleshoot, and support internally developed web applications Establish and document departmental programming standards Define, document, and conduct SDLC tasks (requirements, architecture diagrams, design docs, test cases, CI, bug tracking)Consult with internal/external business units on software development and design (data interfaces, data integrity, data security)Mentor co-workers to improve skills and proficiency; identify opportunities for improvement Occasional after-hours work and on-call duties Key requirementsPHP programming experienceHTML, Java Script, AJAX, and CSSClient-side Java Script framework experience preferred (jQuery, Backbone)UNIX/Linux system administration experience Ability to learn new web frameworks and scripting languages quickly Additional programming languages desired: PERL, Python, C#, Java, C, C++Share Point development experience Database experience (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, Informix, sqlite)Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail-oriented and self-managing Bachelor Degree with emphasis in Information Systems or Computer Science preferreddiagnostic and troubleshooting aptitudeclear communicationself-managementPHPHTMLJava Script
