About the role

Senior ExaminerUnder the general direction of the Deputy Director, Office of Financial Review, the Senior Examiner performs complex analysis of financial capacity and compliance of health care organizations such as health care service plans, risk bearing organizations (RBO), and pharmacy benefit managers (PBM). The Senior Examiner collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, acts as Provider Solvency's Unit (PSU) project lead for monitoring the fiscal viability of RBOs, coordinates all Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) projects, and assists with Pharmacy Benefit Manger (PBM) financial and/or licensing activities. Occasional travel for meetings and/or conferences.Leave Program (PLP) 2025 agreement:Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the temporary Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee receive a temporary reduction in pay in exchange for PLP 2025 leave credits. The temporary salary reduction percentage and the number of PLP 2025 leave credits are based on the position's associated bargaining unit. The salary range(s) included in this job advertisement do not include the temporary salary reduction.You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.
