Your responsibilities will be to ensure that these products meet the design requirements for a wide range of structures with varying loading and environmental conditions.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Design of steel structures and products while continuing to enhance capabilities, products, processes, and teammate developmentProvide direction and technical support to detailers, shop orders, and production teammates during project development, design, and fabricationEffectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external design professionals and customersBecome an engineering expert of Vulcraft's products and assist specifiers and industry partnersThis position is a salaried position plus ROA bonus. Occasional travel is required.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited programFundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification with desire, ability, and dedication to obtain a PE licensePreferred Qualifications: PE license and/or SE licenseMS in Civil/Structural EngineeringLeadership experience or desire to take on leadership roles and/or positionsWilling to pursue higher leadership opportunities throughout NucorNucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
