Make a Meaningful Difference as a Paraprofessional Educator in Blue IslandJoin AAA Academy as a Paraprofessional Educator and help create the supportive, engaging learning experiences that help elementary students thrive. This in person opportunity is ideal for a compassionate classroom professional who enjoys working closely with children, partnering with teachers, and seeing the direct impact of individualized support. As a teacher aide, instructional assistant, or classroom paraprofessional, you will play an important role in building confident learners in a welcoming school community.
What You Will Do: Support elementary education teachers with daily classroom instruction, learning activities, routines, and student engagement. Lead or assist with small group instruction to reinforce lessons and help students build academic confidence. Provide individualized support for students with diverse learning needs, including students with an Individualized Education Program. Use positive classroom management and responsive instructional strategies to foster a safe, respectful, and productive environment. Assist with lesson preparation, differentiated learning activities, and educational materials that make instruction accessible and meaningful. Communicate professionally with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress and a connected learning experience.
What You Will Bring: You bring a strong commitment to elementary education and a genuine ability to connect with young learners. You can confidently support small groups, follow teacher direction, and adapt instruction to student needs. You use effective classroom management practices and maintain a calm, encouraging presence. You communicate clearly and respectfully with students, colleagues, and parents or guardians. You are dependable, collaborative, organized, and ready to contribute in an in person school setting in Blue Island, Illinois.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, classroom aide, substitute teacher, childcare professional, or early childhood educator is valued.
  • Familiarity with Common Core State Standards, differentiated instruction, lesson planning, or project based learning is helpful.
  • Experience with Google Classroom, SMART Board technology, health education, social studies, or Responsive Classroom practices is a plus.
  • Background supporting preschool, early childhood education, is welcomed.
