About the role
- Lead ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $20 million to $50 million or more from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee project buyout, cost control, scheduling, quality, and overall execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, and engineers.
- Manage subcontractors and project teams to meet project requirements and resolve challenges.
- Provide financial oversight and keep projects aligned with budget and schedule expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and project teams to support continued growth in the Charlotte market.
- Must-Have Skills:
- Experience leading ground-up commercial projects valued at $20 million to $50 million or more.
- Project experience in sectors such as K-12 or higher education, healthcare, municipal, office or commercial, or industrial construction.
- End-to-end project lifecycle expertise, including preconstruction, buyout, cost control, scheduling, subcontractor management, and closeout.
- Experience managing owner and architect/engineer relationships and serving as a client liaison.
- Proven leadership skills, including financial oversight, large-team management, and mentoring project professionals.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project or P6.Based in the Charlotte area and willing to work on-site at project locations and in the office.
- Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience across multiple commercial sectors, including retail, K-12, healthcare, office space, and industrial projects.
- Readiness to step up from a commercial Project Manager role into senior project leadership.
- Interest in progressing into an Operations Executive role and contributing to the development of future leaders.
