BIM/VDC/CAD Lead (Semiconductor) Boise, ID Summary: We are looking for a knowledgeable BIM/VDC resource to support a high-technology client of ours in the Boise, Idaho area. This individual will be primarily responsible for leading and providing guidance to LOD and TI BIM coordinators to meet project expectations and milestones. Sufficient 3D BIM experience and proficiency in Autodesk authoring and coordination software is a requirement for the size and complexity of the project. The individual shall serve as the single point of contact for the project BIM related responsibilities and must have strong client-facing, communication, and interaction skills. This position would require onsite support.
Roles and Responsibilities: Lead team to work directly with the trades to create workflows and optimize the BIM process between client and trade partners. Develop and modify as-built drawings in 3D models, read and understand tool schematic designs, and interact closely with client and cross-functional groups. Execute project while meeting safety and schedule goals. Manage stakeholders in a customer-service oriented team. Develop and modify site specifications to align with ongoing site improvements. Perform field investigation, as required, to support preparation of design drawings. Prepare final as built documents.
Position Requirements and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a BIM leadership role with large complex projects.5+ years of experience working on manufacturing/industrial projects in Revit. Demonstrated Experience with Revit® software, 3D modeling, AutoCAD, Dynamo, BIM 360/ACC, Navisworks, SCS.Ability to work in Autodesk suite products – specifically AutoCAD.Ability to read and understand design plans, shop drawings, and work in progress. Extensive creative problem-solving skills. Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus. Ability to communicate effectively amongst multiple groups and end users. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills are required to effectively communicate technical content to various organizations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field preferred.
