About the role

Seasonal Full & Part time Catamount's Terrain Park Crew enthusiastically assist with the maintenance and safety of our terrain parks. Perform daily maintenance to ensure safety including but not limited to shoveling and raking snow. Fix landings, mark hazards with bamboo, flag jumps, and paint landing zones. Test the flow of the rail gardens and hit the sequential jumps. Patrol terrain parks for reckless riding and assist with guest education. Assist with terrain park record keeping requirements. Assist with the safe maintenance and esthetic value of all terrain park boundaries and signage. Fully support Catamount's safety policies. Perform other tasks as requested.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance to ensure safety including but not limited to shoveling and raking snow. Fix landings, mark hazards with bamboo, flag jumps, and paint landing zones. Test the flow of the rail gardens and hit the sequential jumps. Patrol terrain parks for reckless riding and assist with guest education. Assist with terrain park record keeping requirements. Assist with the safe maintenance and esthetic value of all terrain park boundaries and signage. Fully support Catamount's safety policies. Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications: Must either ski or snowboard with advanced ability. Must be able to ski/board in terrain parks and most features. Knowledge of terrain park etiquette and features. Ability to work harmoniously with a variety of people including the public. Ability to communicate with guests. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and nights. Availability required during peak times throughout the year. Must be able and willing to work in all types of inclement weather. Must be physically fit: able to bend, twist, lift 50 lbs., and perform complex maneuvers while on skis/snowboard.
Physical Demands: Work all day in cold weather and wet conditions. Bend and scoop or stretch and pull heavy wet snow. Walk at will over rugged snowy/icy terrain, climb and hike mountain trails. Lift and/or move 50+ pounds, Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
