Role Description: The Human Resources Payroll Coordinator is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting accurate and timely payroll processing and HR-related activities. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with payroll administration, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The coordinator will work with HRIS tools to update employee data, support onboarding and offboarding processes, and respond to employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and leave. This role also helps coordinate benefits administration, verifies payroll and benefits data for accuracy, and collaborates with HR and finance team members to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and effective communication in a remote work setting.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess skills in Payroll Administration, including payroll processing, data entry, and basic knowledge of payroll regulations. Candidates should possess skills in Human Resources (HR), such as employee record management, onboarding support, and policy adherence. Candidates should possess skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including maintaining employee data, running reports, and validating system accuracy. Candidates should possess skills in Benefits Administration and Employee Benefits, including coordinating enrollments, managing changes, and addressing employee questions. Relevant additional qualifications include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency with spreadsheets and office software, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience in nonprofit or public health settings is beneficial, as is prior work with multi-state payroll or benefits programs. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred.
