Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm. Responsibilities: To perform an extensive number of data collection functions as delegated by the physician to allow for proper professional diagnosis of patients and to do so in a way that instills patient confidence in the treatment. Demonstrate ophthalmic technician skills.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye, optics, testing techniques, utilization of equipment relative to position.
  • Problem solver
  • AnalyticalPerfectionistPersonableOrganizedPatient management skills
  • Efficient on computers, type at least 30 wpm
Preferred: COA, COT, or COMT certification
