About the role
Fiber Processing Machine Operator Pay: $18.75/hour Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule Location: Mills River, NC Job Summary We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to tend fiber processing machines in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position responsible for feeding and cleaning machines, making minor adjustments, and performing baseline testing. Mechanical experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Feed materials into fiber processing machines. Clean and maintain machines during operation. Make minor machine adjustments as needed. Perform baseline testing and monitor machine performance. Use material handling equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Requirements:
Detail-oriented and dependable. Mechanical experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule. Ability to stand for the entire 12-hour shift. Ability to bend and twist approximately 2030 times per day while carrying loads up to 20 lbs. Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
