About the role

General Responsibilities: The National Manager, Environmental Construction and Remedial Services (ECRS) provides national leadership to drive safe, profitable growth of Terracon's ECRS portfolio. This role standardizes operating, safety, quality, estimating, and risk-management practices, builds scalable capabilities, develops internal resources, and expands self-performed construction and remediation services while serving as the primary advocate linking national strategy to local execution.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Define and execute the national strategic plan for ECRS aligned with Terracon's corporate objectives. Standardize safety, quality, estimating, and risk-management processes across all regional operations. Develop and scale internal capabilities, including training programs, tools, and best-practice repositories. Lead the expansion of self-performed environmental construction and remediation services nationwide. Act as the chief liaison between national strategy, local operations, ECRS leaders, and the APR/SME network. Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, profitability, and project delivery. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Oversee the development of competitive estimating models and risk-adjusted pricing strategies. Foster a culture of safety and quality through mentorship, coaching, and performance incentives. Represent Terracon's ECRS capabilities in client meetings, industry conferences, and business development efforts.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's preferred. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in environmental construction, remediation, or related services. Proven track record of growing profitable, self-performed service lines on a national scale. Deep knowledge of EPA regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and industry best practices. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, estimating, and risk-management. Excellent communication and influencing skills to align diverse stakeholder groups. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement standardized processes across multiple locations. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-site projects. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CSP, CSM) are a plus. Willingness to travel nationally up to 30% of the time. #LI-TB1
