About the role

Overview: As a developer on the Libraries and Tools team, you will support a variety of groups across the firm by building the core libraries used in the first stages of market data handling — including parsing, orderbook management, and optimized data structures designed for low latency environments. You will work collaboratively with other technologists, traders, and quants to design and engineer tools aimed at debugging, troubleshooting, analysis, and management of market data, while also interfacing with RESTful services across both Linux and Windows environments in C++ and Python.
What we're looking for: BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar major. Strong understanding of high-performance computing using C++ is required Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and a thorough understanding of performance optimization / latency reduction methodologies Ability to work closely with other software developers, traders, quants, and infrastructure teams About Susquehanna Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation. Our culture is intellectually driven and highly collaborative, bringing together researchers, engineers, and traders to design and deploy impactful strategies in our systematic trading environment. To meet the unique challenges of global markets, Susquehanna applies machine learning and advanced quantitative research to vast datasets in order to uncover actionable insights and build effective strategies. By uniting deep market expertise with cutting-edge technology, we excel in solving complex problems and pushing boundaries together.
What we do: We are experts in trading essentially all listed financial products and asset classes, with a focus on derivatives trading. Through market making and market taking, we handle millions of trading transactions around the world every day, providing liquidity and ensuring competitive prices for buyers and sellers. While our presence in the market is broad, our trading desks are highly specialized, allowing for a deep understanding of unique drivers of each asset class.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
