About the role

The Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics Group in Argonne National Laboratory’s Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division invites applications for a Postdoctoral Appointee position. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and apply new measurement capabilities for investigating chemical reactivity in water droplets using time-resolved optical and X-ray spectroscopy. The successful candidate will join a collaborative project with the Time-Resolved Research Group in the X-ray Science Division at the Advanced Photon Source (APS). The project aims to establish an innovative approach for studying solution-phase chemistry with high temporal resolution. The Postdoctoral Appointee will lead the development of a novel laser-excitation scheme for solution samples delivered by a drop-on-demand droplet source. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
