Title: Extrusion Technician Location: Valley View, OH Description:

Company is looking for an extrusion technician to work in our R&D group. This is a Junior-level, hands on job, the key responsibilities of which are as follows: Support film extrusion equipment set-up and operationTroubleshootingProviding recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely mannerHelp develop processing parameters for multilayer filmsEnsure machines are functional and safe to operateReport safety problems immediately and operate equipment safelyWrite and revise SOPsPerform 5S activitiesPerform all material handling functions (raw materials and finished goods)

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED or 2+ years' experience in manufacturingSafely lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary; remain standing/walking for extended periods of time 1+ years of experience in plastics processingAbility to ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and practices and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and proceduresAbility to maintain charts, graphs, and production reportsExcellent verbal and good written communication skills (Microsoft Office) Ability to perform basic math and measurements and to gauge parts if neededDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skillsUS Citizenship Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of experience in plastics processingFlexible and capable of adapting to changeAbility to work independently and as part of a team
