Director Of Operation For Utility Pole Replacements And Upgrades Our partner is looking for a Director of Operation for Utility Pole Replacements and Upgrades. The ideal location is in the Portland, OR area but this role is 100% remote for someone based on the West Coast. This is a well-established company with near 1 billion in revenue annually with a bright future.
Summary:
Responsible for building, managing and continually developing a field operations organization to achieve Territory and Company revenue and profitability goals. Evaluate, develop, and grow Territory management team to oversee, execute, and deliver quality services safely, productively, and profitably for assigned customers. Effectively communicate plans and progress with leadership, Territory and Project Management teams to ensure unity of vision and achievement of company goals.
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the operations teams who perform field services. Complete work available to our utility services partner on or ahead of schedule, safely and with expected quality and productivity results. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the key metrics for optimum project performance. For all projects, meet customer expectations, and achieve all aspects of project performance expectations. Oversight of territory safety, quality, productivity, and cost control performance. Participate as a member of the Central Safety Committee and its activities while overseeing and cultivating the field organization's safety culture with the annual objective of improving the company's safety performance and statistics. Promote teamwork amongst field operations teams, ops support and workforce development, business development, contracts, and finance. Focus on maintaining a close working relationship with business development on the company's key customers and/or company growth initiatives. With SVP, HR and Ops Support (WFD), define, and implement training programs for the line organization management team in all aspects of their responsibilities. Fully utilize and understand processes/systems/programs that monitor and measure operational performance on a job-by-job, customer, profit center and company basis. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual efforts towards the production capacity needs of the company by monitoring the appropriate size of the organization and meeting retention/attrition goals. Investigate the efficient use of various outside options of production capacity throughout the country to ensure additional production capacity or unique contract requirements when necessary. Support "special projects" to improve sales and profit growth. Continue annual self-development plans to improve knowledge and professional performance. Contribute to other projects and plans, not specifically noted, necessary to minimize bureaucracy and redundant activities and to obtain the company's financial objectives.
