About the role

About CollegeNETFor more than 40 years, CollegeNET has partnered with colleges and universities to improve campus operations through its scheduling, event management, and admissions software — including its flagship 25 Live platform, used by institutions nationwide to manage academic and event space. As a privately held company serving higher education, CollegeNET combines the stability of a long-standing market leader with the agility of a lean, product-focused organization.
Position Summary: CollegeNET is seeking an FP&A Manager to own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for the company. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual contributor role is responsible for building the financial models and reporting that guide executive decision-making, partnering with department leaders on budget performance, and bringing rigor and clarity to how the business measures itself. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership of the FP&A function without managing a team.
Key Responsibilities: •      Own the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, partnering with department leaders to build and update plans.•      Develop and maintain financial models covering revenue, bookings, headcount, and operating expenses.•      Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages for the CFO, executive team, and PE sponsor, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.•      Analyze SaaS and subscription metrics (ARR, churn, renewal rates, customer acquisition cost, gross margin) and translate them into actionable insights.•      Support long-range strategic planning, scenario modeling, and ad hoc analyses for the CFO and executive leadership.•      Partner with Accounting on the monthly close process, ensuring alignment between actuals and forecast.•      Track and report on departmental spend, working with budget owners to identify risks and opportunities.•      Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting infrastructure to increase efficiency and accuracy over time.•      Prepare materials for board meetings and ongoing reporting to the company's PE sponsor and lenders, as needed.
Qualifications: •      5–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking/corporate development, ideally including time at a SaaS or subscription-based software company.•      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA a plus but not required.•      Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills; experience building models from scratch and maintaining them over time.•      Hands-on experience with FP&A or BI tools (e.g., Net Suite, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Power BI, or similar).•      Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and unit economics.•      Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial analysis into clear recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.•      High attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, timely work under deadline pressure.•      Comfortable operating independently as an individual contributor in a lean finance organization. What CollegeNET Offers•      A high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO with real ownership over FP&A.•      Remote-friendly work environment with flexibility.•      The stability of an established, decades-old market leader in higher education technology.•      Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, and paid time off).

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
