Job Description:
Job Description The Lab Assistant will assist in performing various screening procedures, data entry, specimen collection, greeting customers, handling insurance information, answering the phone, filing, shredding, shipping and receiving packages. This position requires patience, empathy, time management, and professionalism with patients, co-workers, and providers.
Job Responsibilities:
Proper handling of medical records and test results Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Participate in routine laboratory tasks and other duties as assigned Review and maintain the Temperature Logs for each site. Routine daily Cleaning of instruments, seats and countertops Shipping and receiving packages and samples Data Entry Filing Answering the phone Other tasks as needed
Education & Experience:
HS Diploma Knowledge of MS Office 6 months-2 years' work experience in a CLIA-accredited clinical laboratory preferred Skills Attention to detail Effective communication skills verbally and written Positive, patient-focused attitude Ability to manage change Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time without resting Ability to carry 20lbs in weight Company Description United Providers of Health is a Healthcare Consulting firm.
