Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline. Minimum of eight years of EHS experience in manufacturing or process industries. Demonstrated success leading the closure of audit findings and supporting sustainable EHS improvement. Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements under 29 CFR 1910. Working knowledge of EPA regulatory programs and environmental compliance systems. Experience with risk assessment methodologies and Management of Change (MOC).Preferred QualificationsCSP, CIH, CHMM, ASP, REM, or an equivalent EHS professional certification. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 principles and EHS management systems. Experience implementing GEHSMS standards. Experience supporting external compliance or management system audits. Experience in food and beverage manufacturing. Experience with Enablon, SAP, MyEHS, or comparable audit and action-tracking systems. Skills and Capabilities Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong project leadership, communication, follow-through, organization, and influencing skills. Ability to lead difficult discussions and deliver clear messages with professionalism and composure. Action-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion. Ability to build trust and engagement through integrity, reliability, collaboration, and practical support. Strong attention to detail in corrective action documentation, evidence review, and status reporting.
Responsibilities: Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead audit remediation activities at the manufacturing facility. Will serve as the site’s dedicated EHS audit remediation lead, coordinating the implementation, validation, documentation, and closure of corrective actions arising from EHS compliance and Global EHS Management System (GEHSMS) audits. Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and site leadership to establish clear ownership, maintain momentum, remove barriers, and ensure action plans are closed in accordance with requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Lead audit remediation: Serve as the project lead for site audit remediation and maintain a coordinated, disciplined approach to corrective action closure. Drive cross-functional execution: Coordinate closure activities across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and site leadership; clarify ownership, dependencies, and required support. Validate corrective actions: Review completed actions to confirm they address the finding, are effectively implemented, and are supported by appropriate objective evidence. Maintain accurate status: Update action status, supporting documentation, and closure evidence in MyEHS and other applicable site systems. Provide governance and reporting: Facilitate recurring audit review meetings, track progress and barriers, and provide clear status reporting to site and sector leadership. Strengthen audit readiness: Organize records and evidence for future reviews and support site preparation for follow-up compliance and management system audits. Support sustainable improvement: Help strengthen programs, procedures, training, and accountability processes to reduce the likelihood of repeat findings.
