Title 1 Paraprofessional
Qualifications: Missouri Teaching certificate or Sixty (60) credit hours preferred in the area of education.
Salary: Approximately 37.5 hours per week at $30.00 per hour.
Position Summary: The job of the Title 1 Paraprofessional was established for the purpose(s) of working with individual and/or small groups of students under the guidance of a certificated teacher in the supervision and instruction of students; and assisting students by modeling the necessary skills to perform assignments. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Instructs elementary students in the areas of math, reading, and writing. Develops and delivers lesson plans appropriate to the needs and abilities of assigned students with various language levels. Uses a variety of instructional techniques to support students appropriate for the age and language level of students. Maintains thorough anecdotal notes for assigned students. Collects data to share with classroom teachers and other instructional staff. Attends team meetings as required. Provides the high-quality instruction time needed to move students to language and/or grade-level proficiency. Provides and supports students with social-emotional learning needs. Support grade-level teachers with high-quality instruction and engagement. Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the principal.
