Onsite Construction Manager – Federal Construction (USACE, VA, GSA)Location: Various JobsitesEmployment Type: Full-TimeSalary: Competitive, experience-based; entry levelOverviewVALIANT Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Onsite Traveling Construction Manager to support U.S. Federal Government Healthcare Construction Projects ranging from $10M to $50M. This is a field-based, onsite leadership role responsible for supporting daily project execution, coordination, safety, and compliance on active federal jobsites.This position is intentionally flexible and may function, in whole or in part, as an Onsite Project Manager, Superintendent support, Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), or Quality Control support depending on project needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who thrives in the field, understands federal construction environments, and is comfortable stepping in wherever support is needed to ensure safe, high-quality execution.This is not a remote or desk-only role. Consistent onsite presence is required.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Project SupportServe as onsite construction leadership supporting the daily execution of federal projectsCoordinate field activities, subcontractors, inspections, and site logisticsWork collaboratively with Superintendents, Project Managers, Quality Control Managers, and safety staff to support project objectivesParticipate in onsite meetings, reporting, and coordination with Owners, Government Representatives, and internal teamsProactively identify issues, risks, or constraints and help drive practical, field-oriented solutionsProject Execution & OperationsSupport schedule adherence, progress tracking, and documentationAssist with the coordination of subcontractors andthe sequencing of workSupport documentation, daily reporting, and field records as requiredAssist the Superintendent and Project Manager with field oversight and issue resolutionSafety & complianceAssist with the implementation and enforcement of project safety plans and EM 385-1-1 requirementsSupport safety inspections, hazard identification, and corrective actionsParticipate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and compliance documentation as requiredReinforce VALIANT's commitment to safe work practices and accountability on siteQuality SupportAssist the Superintendent and Quality Control Manager with field quality oversightSupport inspections, documentation, and compliance with Quality Control PlansHelp ensure work conforms to contract documents, plans, and specificationsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related fieldWillingness and ability to travel and work onsite full-timeStrong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencingMinimum five (5) years of experience in construction supervision, with at least three (3) years managing federal projects under USACE, NAVFAC, VA, GSA, or similarUp-to-date certifications preferred: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, EM 385-1-1Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain necessary clearances/badging for secure government sitesWhy Valiant Construction?Complex, meaningful federal projects nationwideStrong field leadership and clear expectationsOpportunity to grow into senior field or project leadership rolesCulture that values execution, safety, and accountabilityPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentFrequently required to stand, walk, or sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityContinually required to talk/listenContinually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboardOccasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds
