About the role

Facility Maintenance SupervisorWe are seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to manage operations for a newly constructed 26-story Civil and Probate Courthouse in Miami, FL. This individual will lead a team of maintenance technicians in providing full-scale facility management services, with a strong focus on HVAC, mechanical systems, and commercial-grade infrastructure. Ideal candidates have risen through the ranks with hands-on technical experience and supervisory skills, preferably in high-rise residential or commercial buildings.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and guide facilities technicians; assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders for timely and efficient execution.Perform hands-on inspection and troubleshooting of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure regulatory compliance.Maintain records of work orders, repairs, parts, and inventory.Engage subcontractors for repairs, renovations, and vendor services.Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency responses.Use and maintain tools, lifts, and specialized equipment for service and repair work.Promote and enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance.Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Support training and mentorship of junior technicians.Required Experience & Qualifications2-year technical degree OR 5+ years as an O&M Supervisor OR completion of apprenticeship programExperience with high-rise commercial or residential buildingsProven hands-on expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systemsStrong leadership, team management, and communication skillsKnowledge of commercial-grade HVAC, pumps, boilers, building automation (Client)OSHA code knowledge and safety complianceExperience with mission-critical facilities preferredUniversal EPA Refrigeration Certification (Preferred)Valid driver's license; ability to pass background checkSpanish language proficiency (Preferred)Technical SkillsBuilding Automation Systems (Client)HVAC and Mechanical Systems MaintenanceMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Procore, Smartsheet, and CMMS platforms (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and operating power toolsMust be available to work variable shifts, weekends, and emergency situations
