About the role
Director, Food & Beverage Applications plans, directs, manages, and implements the Food & Beverage gas applications strategies to grow application equipment and food grade industrial and packaged gas sales to achieve Matheson financial, operational, safety, and quality objectives.
Lead a team of application specialists and manufacturing shops personnel with direct responsibility for technical and commercial aspects of the Food & Beverage application equipment technical sales, design and engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and post-installation service.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage profitability of equipment manufacturing operations, including budget requirements, inventory, and cost controls.
Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to promote Matheson’s Food & Beverage application capabilities within Matheson and with customers, including developing website content, customer presentations, sales brochures, and application training packages.
Perform application equipment and associated services product management, collaborate with business teams to ensure competitive and profitable equipment and services pricing, prepare technical and commercial equipment sale and lease proposals.
Requirements:
8-10 years-experience required.
BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
Conceptual understanding of industrial gas products, production, and handling.
Hands on knowledge of cryogenics, and food freezing and chilling applications and equipment.
Familiarity with modified atmospheres and associated equipment for food packaging.
