Position Summary: A major, mission-oriented Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network in Los Angeles County is seeking a dedicated, bilingual Physician Assistant (PA) to conduct acute care and primary care telemedicine visits from an in-person clinic setting at its Highland Park facility. In this high-efficiency role, you will deliver quality patient care to a diverse community population using on-site telehealth infrastructure. Operating in a supportive outpatient setting with structured weekday hours, you will manage acute visits and primary care encounters without the burden of evening or weekend call duties.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning via clinic-based telemedicine technology. Manage an active clinical schedule seeing approximately 30 to 35 patients per day with efficiency and care. Conduct full clinical encounters, medical history intake, and diagnostic explanations directly in Spanish without relying on an interpreter. Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions, manage routine family medicine presentations, prescribe medications, and initiate appropriate specialist referrals. Maintain prompt, detailed, and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in compliance with FQHC and California medical standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master of Science (M.S.) Degree from an accredited institution.
Licensure & Certification: Active, unrestricted California Physician Assistant license and NCCPA certification. Language Proficiency:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required(must be able to conduct complete medical assessments fluently in Spanish without an interpreter).Clinical Experience:
  • Minimum ofone (1) year of professional work experience as a certified PA in Urgent Care or Acute Primary Care(Note: Student clinical rotations do not count toward this 1-year experience requirement).Mission Alignment:
