About the role

Accounting Manager Denver, COAre you an accounting leader who enjoys digging into data, solving complex issues, and improving processes? We're partnering with a well-established, multi-location consumer brand seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee revenue accounting operations and lead a high-performing team. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Data teams to improve systems, reporting, and business processes.
What You'll Do:
  • Own the accounting and reconciliation of retail sales across hundreds of locations
  • Oversee transactions from POS systems, online ordering platforms, catering, and delivery partners
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations to ensure sales activity is accurately recorded
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive timely resolution
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
  • Partner cross-functionally to solve data, reporting, and system-related issues
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and workflow efficiencies
  • Help build scalable accounting processes that support company growth
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong experience with reconciliations, revenue accounting, and financial analysis
  • Experience working with high-volume transactions and large data sets
  • Ability to analyze issues, identify trends, and implement solutions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Process improvement and systems-minded approach
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA designation
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting tools
  • Experience supporting accounting system implementations, integrations, or automation projects
