About the role
To support the Transplant Center, the full-time State Licensed Donor Procurement Coordinator will coordinate organ procurement activities, evaluate organ offers, and manage transportation logistics while working remotely on varying 12-hour shifts.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate all activities related to the receipt and evaluation of organ offers for transplant
Organize the procurement and dispatch teams to ensure timely organ retrieval
Comply with OPTN/UNOS requirements and assist in training organ preservation caregiversRequired qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field or a degree/diploma from an accredited Nursing School, Respiratory Therapy Program, or Paramedic Program
One year of experience as an organ procurement coordinator or clinical experience in critical care or organ procurement/transplant
Valid licenses and required certificates (Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, or Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic)
