$49.50/hr on W2 Senior Industrial Engineer, Standard Shift Carrier is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Industrial Engineer to lead industrial engineering initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will serve as the technical authority for labor standards, capacity analysis, line balancing, workflow optimization, and productivity improvement. The Senior Industrial Engineer will partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams to develop scalable systems that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with hands-on factory engagement to drive measurable operational improvements and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Engineering Leadership- Own and maintain labour standards, time studies, and work measurement systems across manufacturing operations Develop and implement standardized industrial engineering methodologies and best practices. Establish sustainable governance processes for validating and updating labour standards. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to industrial engineers and operations teams. Capacity Planning & Throughput Analysis Develop and maintain detailed capacity models to support production planning and business growth Analyze demand variability, staffing requirements, bottlenecks, and production constraints. Perform scenario modelling to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.- Identify opportunities to increase throughput without additional capital investment. Line Balancing & Process Optimization- Lead line balancing initiatives to improve labour efficiency and product flow.- Conduct detailed process studies to identify waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities.- Redesign work content, station assignments, and workflows to improve productivity.- Partner with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to optimize manufacturing processes. Continuous Improvement- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Carrier Excellence initiatives across the facility.- Facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, A3 problem solving, and root cause - investigations.- Drive productivity projects supporting annual operating plans and cost reduction targets.- Develop and implement visual management systems and performance metrics. Factory Layout & Material Flow- Design and maintain manufacturing layouts to support operational efficiency.- Optimize material presentation and point-of-use inventory strategies.- Support warehouse and logistics teams in improving material flow and reducing handling waste.- Analyze facility utilization and recommend future-state layouts. Data Analytics & Performance Measurement- Analyze production data, downtime trends, labor utilization, and throughput performance.- Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor operational performance.- Validate project savings and ensure sustainability of implemented improvements.- Utilize statistical analysis tools to support data-driven decision making. Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to support operational goals.- Support new product introductions through labor planning, capacity assessments, and process design.- Participate in capital projects and manufacturing readiness reviews.- Present recommendations and business cases to site leadership.
