Education: Completion of a massage therapy program (typically 500 hours or more).
Licensure: Adherence to all applicable state and local licensing laws and regulations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to build rapport and listen to client needs. Physical Attributes: Good manual dexterity, stamina, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Professional Qualities: Empathy, compassion, a professional appearance, and a reliable attendance.
Work Environment: Massage therapists work in diverse settings, including: Off-site Events, Chair Massages, Resort/Guest Rooms.
