Be a part of something special!Position OverviewNASA SEWP is seeking a mid-level Java Software Developer to build and maintain internal and external Java web-based applications. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our IT solutions team of developers, database and systems administrators in support the NASA SEWP Program Management Office, a multi-award government acquisition contract focused on commercial IT products and product based services.Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement new web applications to support the NASA SEWP ProgramDevelop, enhance, and maintain Java web-based applications that support the NASA SEWP Program focusing on usability and performanceParticipate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, coding, implementation and production launchPerform peer code reviews and application testing to include unit, integration, regression and performance testing to maintain software quality and integrityCollaborate with application developers, database and systems administrators, content management and internal stakeholdersDocument system, component, and interface designs and requirements to ensure future maintainabilityAdhere to project schedules and proactively resolve or escalate issues to managementAdapt and contribute to a fast-paced, Agile application development environmentParticipate in the maintenance and deployment of projects, providing support outside normal core business hours as neededMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field2+ years of experience developing Java applications1+ years of experience writing SQL queries, preferably including experience with Oracle1+ years of experience working in an Agile software development environmentExperience with data interchange formats including JSON and XMLStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred ExpertiseExperience with JSP and/or Spring preferredFull stack experience including front-end web development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) is a plusPrivacy Policy – Halvik Corp Halvik offers a competitive full benefits package including:Company-supported medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD insuranceBenefits include 11 federal holidays and PTOEligible employees may receive performance-based incentives in recognition of individual and/or team achievements.401(k) with company matchingFlexible Spending Accounts for commuter, medical, and dependent care expensesTuition AssistanceCharitable Contribution matchingHalvik Corp is an equal opportunity employer.
