Security Engineer - Perm - Raleigh, NC - Hybrid - 120K - 140KOpen until filled
Job Summary
Required Skills: Microsoft Purview expertise with experience implementing, administering, and expanding the platform. Identity & Access Management (IAM) experience within a Microsoft environment, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) experience, including designing access models, governance, and permissions frameworks. Microsoft cloud security knowledge with a strong understanding of security, compliance, identity, and governance tools. Ability to build and lead security initiatives, establish processes, create standards, identify gaps, and drive improvements. Security governance and policy development experience, including creating operational procedures and security best practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams. Hands-on technical leadership with the ability to guide direction while leveraging existing technical teams for execution.
Nice to Have: Experience with Microsoft Defender suite, particularly Defender for Cloud Apps. Additional expertise across the broader Microsoft security ecosystem beyond Purview and Entra ID.Previous experience leading large-scale security modernization or transformation initiatives. Industry-specific compliance or regulatory experience. Broader cloud security experience outside of core Microsoft identity and governance technologies. Why Hays?
