Position Overview: The Wellness Concierge is the first point of contact for members visiting The Westmoor Club Wellness Center and plays an essential role in creating a warm, polished, and personalized experience from the moment a member arrives. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional service, managing the reception area, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for all Spa & Fitness Center offerings. The ideal candidate is welcoming, attentive, and confident in their ability to anticipate needs and create meaningful connections with members. The Wellness Concierge should have a thorough understanding of our services, treatments, fitness classes, appointments, and pricing, and be able to communicate this information clearly and thoughtfully. They are also responsible for coordinating appointments, answering questions, assisting with member requests, and ensuring the reception area consistently reflects The Westmoor Club's standards of excellence. This role extends beyond the reception desk. The Wellness Concierge works closely with fellow team members and departments to ensure a seamless member experience and serves as a knowledgeable resource for Nantucket and the local community. When a member has a question or request, the expectation is to approach it with a solutions-oriented mindset-taking ownership, finding the right answer, and doing everything possible to make the experience feel effortless.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: Welcome members and guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive and lasting impression of The Westmoor Club Wellness Center. Provide knowledgeable, personalized service throughout the member experience, from arrival and check-in through appointment completion and departure. Maintain a thorough understanding of all Spa & Fitness Center Services, treatments, classes, policies, and pricing. Confidently communicate offerings and make thoughtful recommendations based on individual member needs and interests. Schedule and manage spa appoint accurately and efficiently, utilizing the Club’s reservation and point-of-sale systems. Maintain current knowledge of retail products and confidently provide product information, recommendations, and assistance to members and guests. Operate the reception desk with professionalism and efficiency, balancing in-person member interactions with incoming phone calls, emails, computer tasks, and other responsibilities. Maintain a welcoming, organized, and polished reception environment, including the merchandise displays, fitness floor, and Spa areas. Assist with general upkeep and presentation throughout the day as needed. Uphold Westmoor Club service standards and principles in all interactions and responsibilities. Collaborate effectively with the Wellness Center team and other Club departments to provide a seamless and consistent member experience. Communicate clearly and professionally with members, guests, and fellow team members, both verbally and in writing. Operational Requirements: Ability to remain standing and actively engaged at the Wellness desk and throughout the Wellness Center for extended periods of time, include shifts up to eight hours. Ability to use computers, telephones, point-of-sales systems and other technology required to perform the role. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds, such as retail products, supplies, or inventory. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach and move between various areas as needed.
Work Hours: Weekend and Evening Availability Required
Sample Hours: Monday thru Friday 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Saturday & Sunday 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
