Supplemental Health – Voluntary Benefits Sales Director - West RegionAetna is seeking an accomplished Sales Executive to drive strategic growth of Supplemental Health solutions across National Accounts throughout the Western United States. This role partners with the nation's leading employee benefits consulting firms and brokerage organizations while collaborating closely with Aetna's commercial health organization to deliver integrated solutions that improve employee experience and employer value.The successful candidate will have a proven ability to influence sophisticated buyers, lead complex sales opportunities, navigate finalist presentations, and develop executive-level relationships with brokers, consultants, employers, and internal stakeholders.In addition to a competitive base salary, this role is eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation.Fundamental ComponentsDevelop and execute a strategic territory plan focused on National Accounts throughout the Western United States.Build executive relationships with leading consulting firms and brokerage organizations including Aon, Mercer, WTW, Gallagher, Lockton, USI, and key regional broker partners.Identify cross-sell opportunities within Aetna's commercial health client base and partner with Aetna health plan sales teams to deliver integrated Supplemental Health solutions.Lead complex sales opportunities from prospecting through finalist presentations, underwriting strategy, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing relationship management.Partner closely with underwriting, product, claims, account management, implementation, and operations to deliver competitive solutions that win new business.Serve as a trusted consultant to brokers and employers by understanding their overall benefits strategy and aligning Supplemental Health solutions with organizational objectives.Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, accurately forecast opportunities, and consistently achieve assigned production goals.Represent Aetna in the marketplace through broker meetings, industry conferences, finalist presentations, and executive relationship development.Collaborate across internal business partners to improve the customer experience and strengthen Aetna's competitive position in the National Accounts market.Demonstrate executive presence, strategic thinking, and consultative selling skills throughout every stage of the sales process.Required Experience7+ years of experience selling Supplemental Health, voluntary benefits, employee benefits, or commercial health solutions.Demonstrated success managing National Accounts or similarly complex employee benefit relationships.Experience partnering with national consulting firms and major brokerage organizations is strongly preferred.Proven success leading complex sales cycles, finalist presentations, executive negotiations, and large employer implementations.Strong understanding of underwriting strategy, RFP processes, consultative selling, and relationship management.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across sales, underwriting, product, claims, account management, and operations.Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.Ability to travel throughout the assigned Western U.S. territory.EducationBachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Active Health & Life licensed.Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40Time Type: Full timePay Range: $60,400.00 - $139,240.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
