About the role
- High School diploma or the equivalent
- Knowledge of rigid wide format digital printing
- Knowledge of rigid wide format finishing processes
- Knowledge of rigid wide format digital printer and computerized router front end software
- Math and measurement knowledge
- High degree of mechanical skills, combined with the abilities required to operate a highly technical rigid wide format digital printer and various wide format finishing equipment
- High degree of diagnostic, performance, and problem solving skills and experience
- Physical abilities, including: the lifting of up to 70 pounds, extended walking/standing (up to 14 hours/day), bending, and squatting
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and versatility (change) skills
- Willingness and the ability to work variable work schedules (sometimes with short notice) when and as required by the work load, which may include weekend and/or holiday hours
- Associate of Science in Graphic ArtsTwo years of rigid wide format digital printer and wide format finishing equipment operation
- Graphics arts college and/or trade school certification(s)
- Knowledge of Onyx Thrive
- Knowledge of Publix and Printing Services job and code numbering systems
- Knowledge of general Publix and Printing Services' policies and proceduresKnowledge of chain-of-custody (CoC) processes and proceduresKnowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Knowledge of Shop Floor Data Collection, via Monarch Data Collection (thin net) Terminals
