About the role

Villanova University is hiring a Professional Tutor for the Writing Center. The tutor will provide one-to-one consultations with students, faculty, and staff to help improve writing quality and skills, complete session reports, participate in team meetings, and support outreach efforts such as workshops and presentations. Highlights Provide individualized writing consultations for undergraduate, graduate students, faculty, and staff. Collaborate with writers to enhance writing quality and skills. Complete online reports after each tutoring session. Attend brief team meetings for professional development and workshop planning. Support outreach initiatives including conducting workshops and in-class presentations. Requires a Master’s degree and at least 3 years of face-to-face tutoring experience. Must possess excellent writing, rhetorical, communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Part-time, 9-month appointment averaging 20 hours per week reporting to the Director of the Writing Center. Hourly pay range between $22.36 and $30.00, based on qualifications and other factors. Position is under the Provost department and offers a non-exempt staff classification.
