Job Description:
Clayton Services is searching for a Welder to join a thriving industrial organization in the Houston area. The Welder will be responsible for performing MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on structural components, piping, and other equipment while ensuring all work meets applicable specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $37.50/hour
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts. Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Welder Responsibilities:
Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on piping, structural components, equipment, and other materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
Determine appropriate welding processes, positions, and techniques based on the material and application.
Select, set up, and properly operate welding equipment.
Perform welding in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and conformance with established standards.
Use plasma cutting equipment to cut, trim, and prepare metal components.
Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Welder Skills and Abilities:
Strong MIG, TIG, and Stick welding capabilities.
Ability to read and interpret WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Records).Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of welding equipment, materials, processes, and safety practices.
Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds in an industrial environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance or operations team.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements associated with industrial welding work.
Welder Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of welding experience required.
AWS welding certification required.
Must be capable of successfully completing a minimum 3G plate weld test or other applicable weld test based on the work being performed.
Industrial, manufacturing, terminal, chemical, or process facility experience preferred.
