About the role
Investment casting/metals fabrication/aerospace quality/tooling/manufacturing experience Working knowledge of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e. AS9100, NADCAP).Familiarity with turbine engine components Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Lead/Support the implementation of initiatives necessary to improve product quality and delivery Experienced in PPAP and APQPKey on talent development. Conducting performance appraisals of direct reports – Quality Engineers and Technicians Effectively communicate & present information to all levels of the organization – shop floor, direct reports, and management. Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Use and train in the following quality tools – root cause analysis and problem solving, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, APQP, System audits, SPC.
