About the role
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Successful completion of Surgical Technology program, either technical or military One year experience (CVOR preferred) LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Certification in Surgical Technology KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking and anticipation of case-specific needs. Prepare, maintain, and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for cardiovascular procedures. Maintain sterile technique and support efficient surgical workflow. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members. Demonstrate accountability for performance, professional development, and continuous learning. Participate in inventory management and cost containment efforts related to supplies and instrumentation.
