About the role
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education 1+ years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental related role OR a bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, engineering, or relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of safety regulations
- Proficiency in software systems including MS Office, email and web based applications
- Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, engineering, or relevant discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and/or Power BIBasic environmental regulatory knowledge
- Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP environments
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10–50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50–300 lbs).Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting up to 8 hours.
- Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
- What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Digital safety systems key administrator (Avetta, SafePermit, Everbridge, Enablon, Weever, Nexus/EtQ, HSE SharePoint, HSE Dashboards, etc.)Basic industrial hygiene monitoring (sound level maps, dosimetry, annual audiograms, etc)
- Coordinate emergency response team training, drills, medical evaluations, and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate inspections of eyewashes, ladders, AEDs, and fire extinguishersPPE program administration, HSE purchasing administrator and Safety Pillar member
- Maintain site Security policies and Building safety capability within the site
- Perform in person trainings as assigned
- Support trade contractor work planning and sitewide HSE communications
- Contribute to execution of strategy, hazard identification and solution development
- Partners with other key functions on initiatives including Engineering, Operations, P&O, Quality, S&F to develop and deliver site-based goals and plans
- Any ad hoc requests as requested.
