About the role

Georgia Tech'sSchool of Cybersecurity and Privacyis seeking Open-Rank, tenure-track faculty candidates working across Cybersecurity and Privacy. The school also welcomes applications inemergingorinterdisciplinaryareas that extend the boundaries of the field. This onsite role inAtlanta, GAcombines research leadership with teaching responsibilities and service across the academic units. The School of Cybersecurity and Privacy (founded in September 2020) is ranked#2 in Cybersecurityand is one of five schools within Georgia Tech's#6 ranked College of Computing. The school includes25+ facultyworking toward a mission of "Building security in everything, for everyone, every day." Faculty teach topics spanningpublic policy , law , international affairs , engineering, andcomputing .
Responsibilities: Develop anactive research programin Cybersecurity and Privacy and/or in emerging or interdisciplinary topics. Teachundergraduate and graduatecourses. Completeservice rolesacross the school, the college, and the institute.
Requirements: Have (or expect to receive before the start of the appointment) aPhDor equivalent terminal degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Cognitive Science and Psychology, Law, Public Policy, Political Science and International Relations, Business, or a related field. In thecover letter, clearly identify the area or areas that best describe research contributions. Demonstrate the ability toteach and mentora multifaceted student body. Demonstrate the ability to promote awelcoming educational/work environment .Demonstrate the ability tomentor and assiststudents interested in graduate education. Demonstrate the ability todesign and teach curricularesponsive to all students. Demonstrate the ability to adopt teaching strategies that support thelearning and successof all students. Demonstrate the ability to engage students inexperiential learningactivities and pedagogy that support student success. Demonstrate the ability to engage inhigh-impact practicesthat support deep learning for student success. Apply expertise inteaching, scholarship, and/or serviceto advance student success.

Joint appointmentsare possible. Current faculty hold joint appointments with other schools in the College of Computing, College of Engineering, Scheller College of Business, School of Public Policy, and Sam Nunn School of International Affairs. A successful candidate must be able topass a background check .
