Position Summary: A highly respected, full-service law firm with a nationally recognized corporate and transactional practice is seeking an experiencedMergers & Acquisitions Associateto join its Washington, DC office. The firm advises public and private companies, investors, and institutions on complex domestic and cross-border transactions and is known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated work, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Drive M&A transactions through all phases, from initial structuring and diligence to closing and post-closing matters Prepare, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents, including stock and asset purchase agreements, merger agreements, joint venture arrangements, and operating agreements Advise clients on deal structure, strategic considerations, regulatory compliance, and risk allocation Work collaboratively with firm partners, internal specialists, external advisors, and financing sources in domestic and cross-border transactions Foster strong, enduring client relationships aligned with a client-centric service philosophy
Qualifications: 3+ years of substantive M&A experience Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills across a range of deal structures Member of the District of Columbia Bar in good standing Hybrid work environment (remote + in-office) Competitive compensation up to $290K +plus bonus Attainable billable hour requirement Retirement plan options PTO and paid sick leave Apply today for a confidential conversation.
